Sad Day Today

My first P just left me. It's been an exciting, fun filled 8 years with this special to me automobile. Every minute was all smiles. I need some beer. Anyway consider this a goodbye. Thank you to all who have provided me guidance on almost everything I've done on this car. A simple tip from someone regardless if I had any input or none have certainly guided me transforming how I wanted the car to be. Cheers!!!

Sad day watching it leave, I'm sure...

Any plans for a new P car addition?

That's what I thought but an agreement with the wife tied to job layoff this satisfies her end of the bargain. Damn women.. lol

Eh, sorry. I was hoping for better circumstances.
More of an out with the old, in with the new.
I will have a glass of Gentleman this evening in her honor.

You know, they say that the two happiest days of your life are the day you bought your boat and the day you sell it. That certainly doesn't apply to Porsches. Hope all works out for you and your wife. Bourbon, a good one like Van Winkle, might be more comforting than a beer right now!

Best,

Tom

We really shouldn't get so tied to these cars but we do. Really sorry to hear this.

I will raise a glass to you tonight. I hope you get back in the game one day with an even better car!

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

Amazing since I must have had close to 30 cars in my lifetime but I got tired of each one after a year or two. This car though the attachment got worse. The shape, smell, sound.. the astonishing behavior and output you get from the 200hp even alongside today's high powered machines. They can leave her in the dust but she'll be smiling not that far behind.

sorry to hear/see this.

I sold my first P car, '85 911 bought used in '89. sold in '97 when changing jobs and income uncertain.

in 1999 and new job going well, started looking. the guy who bought my 911 was selling since he bought a 930.

still have it, ran at DE for a few years then retired and back to stock. never want to sell it again.

but my wife was asking me yesterday when am I going to some something...

due to sig limitation, in addition to the 4 listed, also have an '83 Honda CB1100F I did a full frame up restore. that is the first thing I want to sell before it can kill me. and trying to sell the 928 too.

I'll let the 930 do me in some day when I get it done.

so take car of yourself and family and when the job situation improves maybe find and buy it back, or something different.

best of luck to you.
