Good use for old bearings

Well, I had some time on my hands this evening since my engine is in pieces at the engine builder's shop. When I got my rods back from Brian Pauter he sent the old bearing shells to me as well.







So I decided to fire up the mig welder and I created Bearing Man, a.k.a. Mr. Babbitt.







Unfortunately, I did not even clean the oil off of the bearings so the welds are crude to say the least. Definitely a face only a gear head could love...








I can't wait until it is running again.
