Child Seat Laws - Florida Carrera

Hi All,

I asked a similar question here before about child seats. We are about to have a baby and I know I can get a seat for the back when he gets older, but an infant seat in the back seems like it's pretty impossible.

To be clear, my kid will almost never ride in my car, but every once in a while when I need to pick him up and I can't grab the wife's car he will need to ride in the Carrera. Is anyone familiar with how the laws work in Florida? Can an infant seat (rear facing) go in the front seat?

I actually think it might be more secure than the back (seat belts, engine placement, less space).

Child Car Seat Requirements -- looks like the only front seat restriction is for cars equipped with passenger seat airbags

As a Canadian, when he turned 3 he had to complete his right of passage into manhood by choosing a favorite hockey team.

He liked orange. Philadelphia Flyers it is!

I have 3 kids and when I drive them around in my 82 SC the oldest 12 gets up front and the smaller ones 10 and 7 go in the back with the lap belts. With no airbags I usually always have a kid up front . My smallest has a booster that I use if she sits up front. Can't be any worse than my 1966 VW bus with all lap belts.
