LED Light Kit Available

As you may recall, I had recently become a little obsessed with replacing all of my lights with LEDs and spent some time figuring out which bulbs were required, which flasher relay worked, etc. Someone had said it would be a good idea if I ordered extras and packaged it all up so that they didn't have to go through that.

So, I have 4 kits for sale for $105 each that includes UPS ground shipping within the CONUS. The kit include instructions with color pictures for installation and the following items:

LED Flasher Relay
Front and Rear Turn Signals
Front and Rear Sidemarkers
Reverse Lights
Red Rear Brakelights
Red Third Brakelight
Glovebox light
Engine compartment light
Overhead (dome) light
Front Compartment (frunk) Light
License Plate Lights

That covers my cost, UPS ground, and my gas and trouble of driving it down to UPS and standing in line. It's about $75 less than the next cheapest kit I could find.

PM me if you want to buy one. If there is interest for more than those four kits , it will take me about 10 days to collect the parts again, but I can create a waiting list.

I'm in, PayPal sent.
One of the benefits to LEDs is the much lower current - good for 30 year old wires...

pstallo - does switching to your LED brake lights affect cruise control operation?

I've heard that it does, but I can't verify it because my cruise control module doesn't work anyway :/

I read once that you have to insert some sort of resistance between the circuit and the bulb to ensure it works correctly.

As of right now, I have two kits left before I have to order more parts, which will be about a 2 week wait.

What years of cars do these kits support? 83 SC?

I use USPS Priority Flat Rate mailers exclusively in my business. You should look into it. Firstly, guaranteed delivery in 2 days in most parts of the US, 3 days worse case. Next, MUCH cheaper than UPS for small volume shippers and finally, online label printing that gets you an extra discount AND the ability to drop packages off at the post office without standing in line. All a good deal if you get into this in a bigger way.

cheers,
Michael

Kit Contents

There is a list of the contents at the top (the original post on this thread). Is that what you mean?

Years for kit

Lightbulbs for our cars are group from 1974-1989, so it would appear that they are compatible back to 1974. I include a 3rd brake light bulb, but I know not all cars have them (not sure what year that started).

It was put together using my 86. I wouldn't think there is much of a difference in bulbs between an 83 and an 86.

Usps

I may check into the USPS for shipping. I'll probably just get rid of these lightbulb sets and then be done. I had an uneven amount of bulbs, so I ordered enough yesterday to make 5 more complete sets. I wouldn't think there would be very many people looking for LED bulbs. Most probably try to maintain originality.

I just want to be to see and be seen in my car because I've only got liability insurance on it!

A little while back I replaced all rear lights with LED bu never got the turn signals to work. I even replaced the stalk as the lo-hi beam switch had issues.
Can you share which LED Flasher Relay is compatible with our cars? I bought a unit that is supposed to work with LED but there is no diagram on it and I still don't have turn signals. TIA
