Mine is a US model and and WUR vents to atmosphere so I guess I don’t have one. Thanks for the update.

I am working on my '82 backdate while doing major service, valve adjustment so everything is accessible - seems super simple so far - agree I disassmbled the blower motor to get past injector line.

Question - I seem to have a fitment issue on the left side - I bought the 'updated' tin from our host and fitment is not great - If I mount it such that the curve conforms to the fan shroud I have a solid 1/4" gap on the left side at the car forward face. I presume this needs to fit tight to minimize loss of airflow.
When I look at the item number, the reviews give mixed results wrt fitment, and it looks like it ships with a piece of weather stripping, which I didnt receive.
Maybe an obvious answer but I suppose I simply need to somehow bash away at it then add some weather stripping eh? Any suggestion before I butcher this are appreciated.

I had to massage the one I bought, cant remember which vendor. I had bought a used one and mangled it so I bought a 2nd. The one needing slight massaging was already thinned out to get around the larger 3.0 distros on our motors.

just completed my heat backdate. Was surprising simple and straight forward--this thread definitely helped! The ducts from pelican fit perfectly--only needed to re-drill one screw hole. Very pleased with how it looks.

Matthew, I know this was from a little while ago, but where did you end up getting those hoses? I like the ones from Rennline, but I would prefer the black color vs. that red/orange color. I've seen links to airplane hoses, but still haven't found the black color. Here's my progress to date. Can't wait for the final look here. It already opens up the engine bay so much, it's really great.

Love this thread - oldie but goodie!

My car came with all heating components removed, so I am planning to install backdated heat to have something.

With that my question. Can I hook the black flexible heater hose right to this portion of the exhaust? The pics in the thread show an elbow at this point which my car does not have.

Just completed this and I can't believe the difference in the engine compartment. With removing the AC compressor, it looks SO much cleaner. Thank you to the OP and everyone else that's contributed. This was my first time wrenching on my SC and it went so much better b/c of the info here.
