Don,
How's the glare coming off that shiny carbon dash?
I like the idea a lot, but worry that driving into the sun would be hell on earth.

I'd worry, a lot, about the non padded rollcage tubing, especially near my head. Even just a weird sudden transition can toss your head sideways and hurt, a lot. ANd those cross car tubes are called "kneebreakers" in racing. IMHO, I'd pad that stuff ...

You totally win the " inventiveness, freedom from expectations and creativity, with a dose of IDGAF what the purists think" award

And that is high praise.

Even as a designerly type, I haven't thought that far out of the box! Not even close. Love it.

1985 carerra coupe

Carpets were tan? on a black on clack coupe.
Added the 964 club sport steering wheel and the rennlone dash backdate kit.
I wrapped it in leather rather than the crinkle metal finish from stock.
I also had all of the rennline trim pieces powdercoated black to fit the look of the car.

I like that interior color. It goes well with the exterior.
And that basketweave is a great touch!
Do you do your interiors in house?
