Shifter Popping Sound??
Hi all. When I shift from fist to second I get an occasional loud popping sound. The car still shifts ok but the popping sound is vert annoying and has me a bit concerned. Any ideas would be very helpful!

Do you feel anything through the shifter when it makes the sound?

I hear this to on my 77 911 and feel a bump with the sound. I figured it was the shift linkage bushings gone bad. I have the same linkage on another car that has been rebuilt and No pops.
