If you watch the video closely, you can see the tire blow out and it looks as if it took out some of the rear suspension. Car launches and looks to hit the underside of the concrete bridge footing. That he got out of it alive is amazing and speaks well for the safety equipment, even in those days. Response was lacking but he made it. He went on to race Le Mans three weeks later. Tough guy!

With all the air travel restrictions these days, and I'm in Europe , got my papers for UK anyway for other stuff and I can get there by boat.
Since nobody else offered to help yet, I have lead foot can help.
I've already driven on Spa, Ring, Le Mans, so this is right up my alley.
Be happy to go to UK and run the car through it's shake down for you once it's ready.
