Racing goals
Track access is a major issue. Goal for 2003 is to get as many starts as possible in SCCA and NASA regional club competition. Oh, and win! 2004 I will step up to an entry-level, regional pro series such as Pro Spec Miata, still running with both SCCA and NASA, (both have pro Miata series) while continuing to run at the club level. To do that I will be towing as far as Seattle. The hope is in 2005 or 2006 to step up to Speed World Challenge. That would be total success, but if I go on to the American Le Mans series that would be even better!
My choice of location now is predicated on where I will be running in regional club racing and west coast pro racing. The club racing will be primarily focused in SoCal and Phoenix with some races in NorCal. The west coast pro races range from Phoenix to Seattle. For the SCCA regional races in 2003, eight are in Phoenix and eight in SoCal so it doesn't matter. When I have to drive as far as Seattle for pro races LA is better geographically. Phoenix has the attraction of potential employment opportunities at Bondurant. Life is all about tradeoffs! I'm still looking for any more thoughts! Thanks!
