I always do it with gauge. Adjust by feel? Why bother at all?

This is my tool of choice. Can get to all the valves and is a good feel and fit in the hand.

Oh, oh! And after your done, use the red rubber valve cover gaskets. Those puppies do not leak!

yelcab ....so if you did so many you do not trust your hand with feel? I have thrown away the feeler gauge back in 1986 never touched it again... everybody does what they wants..

And you can't tighten the nuts either. Something not right about that.

Yeah I have made a tool that you just turn back 36 degreesafter bottoming ......using indicators and re-tighten.

360 degrees = 1mm
36 degrees = .1mm

I just drop the engine :confused:

I designed my fuel lines and electrical connectors to be quick release, I know my jacks and stands and engine cart, so I drop the engine every year at least. Suddenly #6 is a breeze...
