FS: Titanium Lug Nuts
Closed PVD Black AVAILABLE
ALL ORDERS MAILED OUT AS OF 6/5/19 I originally had some made for my cars, did an overrun to get the cost down. Sold the extra and had a great response, so I've decided to produce more. Have some 65mm titanium studs in the works also! Going to offer 3 different styles this time around -Raw finish open ended, and a Black PVD finish in both open and OEM closed end.
Please add $7.90 for USPS Priority shipping within the USA. International shipping is a possibility, just would have to get a shipping quote for you. Payment by PayPal friends payment to titaniumporschelugnuts@gmail.com and include your shipping address in the notes I will likely ship same day payment is recieved. I'm using Ti 6Al-4V more commonly referred to as Grade 5 Titanium Alloy. Its very high strength and lightweight, making it perfect for fasteners. The PVD is a finish that will turn the titanium black in color while also making them even more resistant to scratches and corrosion. The PVD finish will also act as a lubricant and reduce the risk of galling between the titanium nuts and steel studs that some have voiced concern about. I use a bit of anti seize and always torque them by hand, and haven't run into any problems since. These are 19mm hex and open ended. They are dimensionally identical to the steel lug nuts and weigh about half (13oz vs 25oz) but will not corrode like steel, or scratch/deform like aluminum lug nuts. I’ll weight them later, I just don’t like how the steel ones start to look after a while.

But, but...unsprung weight and gyrocoptic force reduction...IT'S HUUUUGE. OK, OK, I bought them for the cool factor.

Happy to have my new nuts! I buy jewelry for my wife, so why not for my car? They look very nice, were shipped quickly and well packed etc. Incidentally, I did weigh them, on my somewhat accurate Taiwanese fish-scale, and they are much closer to the weight of the aluminum nuts if not exactly the same. Someone with a better scale should chime in. I remember reading something along the lines of: unsprung weight counts for 3x that of sprung weight (?) So in that regard they are worth the investment, oh yeah, that and : Titanium.
thanks.
