Bumps

I see where someone closed some ridiculous for sale posts because they were bumped incessantly. Kudos to who did that but please don’t rest on those two.

There are so many posters who continually bump their threads that it’s gotten out of control.
If I login after a day or so and go to 911 parts for sale there are typically about 100 new posts of that 90 of them are people bumping their overpriced parts threads over and over.
They should understand that if someone needs whatever theyre selling it’ll show up if they do a search and they don’t need to continually bump it.

I buy a lot of parts off of here and I personally won’t buy from a habitual bumper because of my frustration.
Clearly I’m not the only one who has an issue with this or there wouldn’t be clearly defined rule on this that most never read before using this forum to sell their goods.

Rant over... For now
Tony

I'm fairly new and this isn't the easiest forum to maneuver around so I totally understand the bumps..

it appears that you have issues with certain individuals who violate the rules. we have people here who address those issues. they're called moderators. you can find their name near the bottom of page 1 on the right. please direct your concerns to them, not the membership at large.
also, what you do with your money is your business, not ours.
while we're on the subject of rules, please note the entry which reads, in part,
"Be polite, and don't trash someone else's listing."
this has been pointed out to you at least once already.

"Rant over... for now"

does this mean that we can look forward more rants from you in the future ?
oh... wouldn't THAT make this forum all the more better?

I would agree here - the forum search function is sub-optimal at best (more like useless when trying to narrow down the many items that show up) when compared to a google search.

I also have issues with people like you who stick their noses in where it’s not needed.
It seems strange that your criticizing me for something you yourself are doing. If you don’t like what I’m doing then there are people here who address those issues. They’re called operators. You can find their names at the bottom of page 1 on the right. So take your own advice but I’m sure won’t because hypocrites never do.
Have a nice day.

We do our best to monitor sections and close / flag threads that over-bump. As you can imagine, this isn't our primary focus, so if we miss any; feel free to send us a PM or email and we'll address it if we see fit.

Thanks.

Dmitry thanks for the post
Actually my original post was to give a shout out to whoever closed the two threads last night or this morning that had been bumped like 11 times each and I went a little off track.
In hindsight I should’ve left it at that and I may have went a little crazy seeing the same people bump the same parts over and over. Kinda like A Clockwork Work a little.

So I apologize if I offended anyone even if it was intentional like ty901.

Per the guidelines you can bump up to 8 times. See attachment pic. of guidelines. I hope this helps.

Thank you Dmitry! Nice to see some action on here, I know it's whack-a-scammer lately. Majority of us that never post appreciate your work
