Rebuilt 2.2 E spec engine

Rebuilt by AJRS (Allen Johnson racing services in Grand Junction Co.) Standard/standard, E heads with 32mm ports, new Carrera tensioners, New JE pistons and biral cylinders, DC 30 cams, rebuilt Weber 40 IDA carbs, all sheet metal blasted and painted gloss black, heads completely rebuilt, comes with wiring loom and clutch. Built on 1971 T case. $12,700 in long block alone. $15,000. Will sell long block only at $13,000. MAKE REASONABLE OFFER. SOLD

Looks like a nice engine. Just wondering if the original 2.2T counter balanced crank was used. There is no mention in the worksheet about a counter-balanced crank which the factory used on 2.2E engines to handle the higher rev's. Plse clarify.

Spinning a non counterbalanced crank to 7k is not very wise, and keeping below 6600 revs would be wasting some of the top end power those DC 30 cams are designed for. Regardless, the increased porting of the heads will give the engine b it more power than the stock 2,2T 911T.
With the beginning of the 1972 Model year, all 911 motors including the 911T came with a counterbalanced crank.

The 70/71 2.2 T used a NON counter weighted/balanced crank.
