Trying to get an idea of a "fair" value

The late Porsche Master and guru Bruce Anderson once told me that he used nothing but a good rub down with Vaseline petroleum jelly to shine Fuchs forged-alloy wheels and bring back their rich satin luster once they were cleaned and dried. I've been doing it since.

And I'm saying this because it appears that your Fuchs wheels could benefit from one of these tried-and-true clean-and-shine procedures AND it will help you get more money for them in your sale.

And shoppers are going to want to know if those dark spots on the lower one in the photo are knick-dings, tar marbles, dirt, or spider droppings from storage. They'll also want to know if either of them is curb-rashed (scratched or scraped), or bent or damaged or ever straightened or repaired - general condition usuals for wheels.

Some may also want to know the dates of manufacture of these wheels which is a 4-digit punch-stamped number like the ones you photographed of the part number and sizing. The first 2 digits are for the week number out of 52, and the last 2 digits are for the last two digits of the year. 16" Fuchs have been on Porsches and available since, I think, the SuperCarrera (SC) era of 1978-83...
