Just wanted to let everyone know i was scammed by “Jane00”. Sent money to them and was then notified by my financial institution that the cell phone number was suspected in other fraud cases. The Cell phone number i was given is 802-546-1963. The name they used is Dinah Sagini. Fake account I guess which stinks because i did look to see if any other transactions had taken place with them before. Hopefully this person has not received money from anyone else. I have given them the opportunity to return the money I sent via paypal but nothing yet. Be Warned.

Another scammer story

I posted a WTB for a 911 rear reflector a couple weeks ago. 2 "scamwads" posted and with guidance from forum members, I didn't buy the pie in the sky

One of them went away, but the one that I will describe below kept at it, and I sort of played with him

The "wad" txt me ...outside the forum, said that he hae a new one & good used... 250.00 shipped
Yea , too good to be true. He wanted to be pd via Zelle

I asked his screen name here said that he was Pnut_lee.
I checked Pnut_lee, long time guy here, but inactive for about 8 months
So I sent the real Pnut_lee a PM anda email thru here...No response

The wad txt me again I told him that I was working thru the forum, he responded " his in box was full

I txt him back requesting pics of the back of the reflector, with a yellow #2 pencil pointing to the 4 corners. Still waiting for the pics

i answered an ad for some velocity stacks. this guy with an email of "dcmdrek@gmail.com" sent me an email asking for my phone number for faster communication. he then asked me to send venmo or belle instead of the PayPal info listed on the pelican ad. the venmo address he sent me had a different name from the pelican ad. when i asked to confirm his name because they didn't match up he said it was his sons venmo. i sent him another PM on pelican and asked him to respond to that PM, he said "my login info is on his computer". it didn't add up because it showed he was online on pelican.

i called the number he texted me from and an foreigner with bad english answered. i asked several questions and he wasn't able to answer me correctly (i asked tell me what you're selling again and what is your pelican name?). he got very aggressive and i hung up.

be vigilant out there people. scammers intercept wanted ads and responses to ads trying to get you to send them payment. i ****in hate thieves.

akda300 stuck it to me to the tune of $75.00. I bought a sump plate. He said he would pay for shipping, then the next day he wants $20.00 more for shipping. I said a deal is a deal and he has not responded. Here is the worst part: he wanted my to pay with PayPal "friends and family". This way he doesn't have to pay the $3.16 service fee. I agreed and paid that way but he has not shipped the part. I found out the hard way that when you pay with "friends and family", PayPal figures it is a gift and you have no recourse. The money is gone and PayPal won't help you get it back. He no longer responds to text messages, and the telephone number shown in his text is disconnected. He apparently knows how to send a text with a different phone number attached. He asked that I send the money through PayPal to Rexmanstruble@yahoo.com. I don't get a response from that email address either, part of the scam!

Hi, please do NOT do business with David Albert. He was trying to sell me Porsche 911 SWB wings but he was clearly a scammer. He refused to send clear pictures of the wings, he refused to pick up the phone to have an actual conversation. His only reference was a guy on this forum who I looked up as well and was also a known scammer. I blocked him on whatsapp after reading he was a scammer somewhere in this forum and he kept contacting me via email. I hate scammers with my life so here are his contact details.

To everyone on PP - beware of the following phone number 810-666-2047 - almost scammed me out of $600 for Herman Maire's 3.2 oil cooler (sold a few days ago) - they were TEXT messaging me AS Herman to send money for his oil cooler and I ALMOST SENT IT - Beware.

No name or user ID on pelican - wanted me to send the money until I asked to send a picture of the oil cooler with a handwritten note w/ todays date on it...crickets ever since

Guys, as always, if you come across a scammer all you need to do is PM me his Pelican username. It's good to post emails and phone numbers here so that when people google that info, it pops up. But I am a volunteer and have a demanding job and don't check this thread regularly. So just PM me usernames and I will drop the ban hammer.

This same guy has a handle of E.M.M. Responded to my WTB ad for a muffler. I texted him and asked for additional pics and wasnt able to provide. I called him a scammer and he was insulted. LOL
