Fresh built 3.0 Engine

Originally i purchased the engine to put into my 72t and then i found a smoking deal on a 3.6 and pulled the trigger on that instead. So now the 3.0 is up for sale.

I bought the engine from a long time Porsche friend here in California, the engine had been sitting for a long time in dry storage and I was told it had 80k miles on it. We got the engine running carefully, but decided why not just go ahead and refresh it for my hotrod 72.

I'm Canadian originally, I have been living in California for 15 years. The engine is located at a shop in Quebec, Canada.

Engine is ready to plug and play.

I'm asking $18k for the engine, Free shipping to California.

These are the engine details. Leakdown results are perfect and can be provided and Video is available of the engine running.

-Engine case was cleaned and inspected for cracks.
-Crank was sent to a machine shop for magnaflux, measurement and polish.
-Stock Crank on mains and rods
-Rods were also sent to the machine shop for measurement on the big end & small end. All were Perfect.
-The Oil pump was dismantled, measured and cleaned.
-All the case bolts and engine hardware have been plated with yellow zinc.
-Main Bearing and Rod Bearing are new
-Engine seals are Elring, wrightwood racing and victor Renz
-Thrust bearing and ims bearing are Glyco
Heads were dismantled, cleaned, valves were measured by the machine shop
-Cylinders and Pistons are Alusil
-Rings are new gotze

Please reach out with any questions.
Cheers.
Nikita.

edit: posted 3.6 engine pics by accident.

Very nice looking and clean build. Others have gave their recipes in past, but what did you clean the block with? Looks to rival Henry on finish.

looks like it's been vapour blasted?

Do all the oil galley plugs get pulled along with piston squirters to clean out the case?

Looks beautiful. Were the pistons and cylinders new. I have heard that using new rings with used alusil cylinders sometimes results in difficulty with the rings seating? Nikisil are more forgiving. GLWS Thanks Rob.

@Lukesportsman The engine was cleaned by the shop, using their own machine, I'm told very similar to a vapor blaster....

@Mikedsilva All the plugs were pulled and and the piston squirters were cleaned with the stomksi racing tool.

Receipt, leakdown results and video of the engine running are available.
