I would gladly pay you $300 for the decklid, assuming it is straight, and can meet you somewhere along the 405 in West LA or nearby.

Hi moparrob, my thinking right now is to keep the decklid for another project if I have to separate the Carrera tail from it.

The other thing I forgot to mention is I'll do a partial trade for an aftermarket early turbo tail that is missing the rubber.

I'm interested if you are willing to pack and it can be shipped for a reasonable cost. My zip is 98642 for calculating shipping.
I also sent a PM.
Thanks.

Hi 400, I'll consider it though the problem is I don't know how to ship it efficiently and safely other than a crate like box. Not sure how to predict the cost either. If you (or anyone) knows how this is usually done and can help then we can work it out.

gbollen, I'm still doing some looking but I think it'll have to be wrapped in foam and crated in a wooden box. Shipping with Fastenal gets pretty good reviews. I'm also trying to find a transport service that might be coming my way (the VW community is pretty good with this).

So...It'll have to be crated in a wood crate then with weight and measurements I can get a shipping quote. If you are willing to do that I think the best way would be to put it on a pallet wrapped in foam (egg crate foam?), then a simple 2x2 frame with thin ply panels screwed to it.

Thanks for looking into that 400. PM me the shipping quote and we'll figure it out.
