2.2 911 E engine #6108924
911 E engine on Webers with rain hats. Excellent condition engine I purchased from a professional Porsche service shop 2 years ago for my ’68 911 restoration project. The engine had been removed from the owner’s personal 914-6 clone when he decided to move up to a 3.2 engine. His ad claimed 2% to 3% leakdown at the time of removal. My numbers after the engine has sat in my garage for 2+ years are 5, 6, 6, 6, 5, 7 at 96psi pressure. Karl Hens, owner of Thoroughbred Motorsports has indicated that an engine in long term storage will show higher leakdown numbers but return to prior specs once it has been run in. I have become incapacitated and am no longer able to complete the restoration. The car has been sold, so I am now selling the engine and a few remaining parts. No exhaust or engine compartment surround tin is included. I can assist with local pickup or will wrap it, strap it to a pallet and ship (at your cost) to you from my truck dock in Ontario NY 14519. Asking $13,950 OBO. Estimated shipping to the West Coast is $450 to $550.
