WTB Factory Slant Nose Torque Tube Cover Plates
Hello : Looking to get a hold of a pair of Factory M505 or M506 slant nose torque tube cover plates. These are not your round 930 covers but are elongated due to the contour of the rear vented fenders. Or ... if someone has a pair I could work with you to have them scanned and a file made for 3D modeling recreation purposes. Damn I have been driving around for the last 20 years with my home made version without the box rockers of course and it's time to get the real deal or have it made .... See attachments below the cover plate is shown as # 17 and the photos presented are of a actual factory slant fender w/ factory produced cover plates.
Interesting Side Note: The factory vented fenders have the 3 each round headed rivets attached just in front of the intake vent and notice the sectional layered layout of the metal areas of the intake vent as well. Steel Knock-offs from the 80' & 90's conversion craze do not have these that I have seen over some 30 years but rather offer different solid pressed contouring attempts to recreate what the factory produced :

Thanks for the question. Take a look at the schematic at the top of the page. Note item # 17 in lower left corner. This is the cover plate I am looking for ... one for each side rear fender. Now take a look at the photos provided and you can observe where they are placed on the lower bottom of fender to cover the holes for the torsion bar access cut out of the fender. - dave Edit : PM Sent To You ....
