The block should be stamped M64/60 for a 993 turbo and should have the nose oil passage below the intermediate shaft open for the turbo's scavenge oil pump in the console. Not sure about the bigger piston squirter but definitely different head studs.
If the block is only stamped M64/ with no digits after the bar that means "normal aspirated" or "turbo", it's a service replacement block and a great price. Also can be use in a 964/965, same part #. Last edited by C4Spolar; 09-18-2023 at 07:43 PM.. |

Blank Designation M64/ - as for the other technical bits Im not sure , have a good look. Im not savvy enough to answer that with confidence.

Yes - great point of departure for a nice NA 3.8 for instance... and I bet your engine builder would be a very happy guy to start off with a brand new block.
Comes with 993 Turbo Head bolts too - a nice little treat. |
