Luckily these will go out UPS... shipping has been a bit of a nuisance for a while. I'm shipping these from Minnesota to all points in the US, and from within Canada via parcel post to Canadian customers.

This is a final production version of the skid plate. You might notice it's a little shinier than the previously pictured parts. I finally broke out the polisher to give it a final bit of attention. Each one should look at least this good. They will also have mounting holes.



If it's been a little quiet as of late, this is why... it's hard to convey how much work this pile of parts represents! Cutting this much Carbon/Kevlar is not a lot of fun...



I have ONE skid plate sized shipping box left, and enough material to add one more part to the pile, if anyone wants to get in on the first batch. I'm closing in on having these done and they should ship out Monday at the latest. If you're on the list check your pm's as I'll be trying to round up everyone's addresses (if I don't already have them) so I can get a shipping cost and total price to everyone in the next day or two.

Sorry I missed this question - I guess my subscribed threads aren't working properly.

Anyway, no, sorry, the plate only fits later cars with the alloy crossmember and underbody mounted sway bar.

Happy to report the entire batch of ten sold out, plus one more for local delivery...

Dropped them all off down in MN today after clearing US customs in person which only took a few minutes, and they'll be on the UPS truck tomorrow headed for all corners of the US and a few points between! Also three stayed in Canada...



My sincerest of thanks to everyone who showed interest and purchased. I'll be posting a for sale ad for these on a made-to-order basis and will update this thread with a link once I have a chance to figure out what the full retail price will be.

Got a clean bill of health from my surgeon yesterday and the OK from she who must be obeyed so today I installed Jonny’s protection plate on the RST. Really an easy job. Don’t even have to pull the front wheels although I already had one off for cleaning.
Super clean fit, really well made and sooo light. Kudos to you, Jonny.

Just to make the bump worthwhile, I do still have 1 shipping box for these left and enough material to make one more right away (EDIT - we are now at a 3-4 week wait see post #1). As a made to order part, and not a part of a batch the price will be $495.00 moving forward.

Jon, thanks for the awesome skid plate. Nice work.
I did have to make some minor alterations - I trimmed back the front corners at 45 degrees to clear the control arm mounts, enlarged the mounting holes slightly, and had to relieve the back edge in one spot (probably because the smutz was a bit thicker there).
Mine is an early example so those changes may be incorporated now.

Jon, I think that Mike’s mods at the rear were required because he does not have a lower sway bar which provides the necessary relief to prevent rubbing into the undercoating. Nevertheless, it’s proof of concept that the protection plate works well in cars with thru-frunk sway bar.

I appreciate the feedback, Mike! Thanks again for posting that and the pics. Nobody else has mentioned clearance at the front corners so I crawled under the Rot Rod yesterday and sure enough it is very, very close. Not touching but close.

You are absolutely correct about the angle cut on the corners of the factory part, and I'll be incorporating that into the the part going forward.
