Complete “fresh” 3.0 engine

ENGINE IS SOLD

Open to reasonable offers

I have decided to sell this engine. I rebuilt the engine I believe 9 years ago but haven’t put 800 miles on it since it was finished.

Heads were done by Ollie’s which included a rebuild and three angle valve job, they also serviced the cam towers. Rods were done by JB racing in Tavares Fl. They also polished and checked the crank shaft. Motor had all new rod and main bearings, rings, chains, guides, all ARP rod bolts and head studs. Cams were replaced with 964 cams. MSD ignition and all accessories will come with the engine. Has Weber carbs that I rebuilt and tuned for this engine. Also includes the (I believe) a B&B stainless exhaust. It cranks and idles smoothly with no funny noises. All new seals and still does not leak a drop of oil.

It took almost a year to build this engine. You can see the build in my profile.

I probably missed some stuff that was done to the engine. Message me if you have any questions.

Asking $22,000

I can skid it for shipping but arrangements need to be made by buyer. If paid with PayPal + 3% to cover their fees.

Leak down numbers

Not a surprise that there is virtually zero leakage in this engine.

Stock it was 180 HP, I am not sure what horsepower or torque is gained with the cam change and mild head work that was done.

The motor is a 930/16 and I believe it is a 1983 engine.

It has stock compression and I have no clue of the horsepower.

When I built it, I wasn’t going for the full on race car engine that constantly needs tuned. I built it to be an engine that starts right up, I can drive it anywhere and it has enough power to be a really enjoyable engine when you get on it.

The motor is a 1983 930/16 (not 100% on the year but I believe it is from an 83)

Lots of interest but nobody has said “I’ll take it” yet.

915

Looking for $3500+ shipping for the transmission. It shifts great but kind of sloppy as all 915s are.
