I had the exact one back in the 80s and it was stolen from my college parking lot. At least 10 years later the NYS Troopers returned it to me after they arrested the thief and were cataloging his possessions. Passport had my address from the original serial number registration.
The other thing I remember about that one was that my father complained that I was using it to do an end-run around the law to speed. I said he had it all wrong… whenever it beeped it made me slow down. We laughed about that off and on for years afterwards.

My last radar detector was a Valentine 1
I pondered for a long time to buy it and 3 weeks later my 1986 930 was stolen and so was the Valentine.
Maybe I will get lucky and get both back.
