72 2.4 "S" motor for sale

I'm selling the 2.4 out of my 72 coupe to put in a 3.0 RS motor. It's a 72 2.4 T with S p/c's, heads, cams. and Mech FI. There's about 75K on the motor and it runs great. The pump was rebuilt by Gus about 10K ago. Two years ago I drove it 3500 miles on a cross country trip and it didn't skip a beat. Still in car and running. I'm looking to get $4500 for it. I did a compression test recently and they're all between 145 and 155psi.

Are the stacks S and the throttle bodies S diameter? Does it come with heat exchangers and muffler?

The stacks and TB's are real S. I'll throw in the exhaust if you want it.

By the way, I'm located in Connecticut. I finally just updated my profile to show that.

Mike,

Will you sell without the MFI? I have a complete 2.4 S MFI setup but no S motor .

I'm in westport. I have someone who wants the injection so I guess I would sell just the motor. Make me an offer.

What condition is the motor in? Compression #s, etc., what has been done to it, how many miles, any upgrades?

Check my first post on the motor for details. It runs great and is still in car.

Mike,
Disregard my pm. I thought you had a real 2.4S engine with MFI.

Any pics to post? A little visual stimulation perhaps.

Mikey,

Sorry I disappeared, I was on vacation. So if I read your email correctly, you have a T motor that was completely brought up to S spec? Do you want to sell the engine 'turn-key' or as a block meaning, is the shroud, alternator, fan, distributor, exhaust, everything available? What would you want for everything minus the MFI assembly (pump, fuel lines, intakes, TBs, linkages, air cleaner assembly)? What would you take for just the block with heads?

Thanks,

Hi Mikey:

I sent you a PM last week (if I remember correctly). I stated that I may be interested in the MFI set-up if the numbers match that of a 73.

Thanks.

Randy
