1974 targa roller on Long Island CHEAP !
Well a roller is putting it nicely . Most every part has been removed. Its a 1974 one owner 42k orig mile car that has heavy rust in the door jams. Basically 100% solid everywhere else though. I still plan to remove the fuchs, the suspension, and the front and rear hoods. but need it to move around so its as shown. I dont know if it has value to anyone here and im open to offers or suggestions. I dont want to cut it but im considering it. Also have a clean transferable NYS title.
I should add a price but dont know how its wanted. For example the car would be $200 if the buyer removes and returns the parts I want. Or $400 without the wheels and rear decklid . Or offers . I would just like to stop pushing this turd around. Kurt Williams

Kurt,
From your pictures the Targa seal doesn't look to bad. Do you think it can be removed and reused? If so, I would be interested and that goes for any other seals like door seals. |

How does the drivers door look? Any rot? Is the targa door the same as the coupe door? (I have a '74). If they do match, I'll give you $200 for the whole thing & return the wheels & hoods later. LMK. -John

$200.00 is good by me but I want the suspension and front hubs as well.
I believe both doors are free of rust but if so I have about 20 doors in storage so just contact me if you want. Although not pictured this car also has a fuel tank in it. Doesnt show any rust(externally) but definetly has some stinky fuel in it.

John just to make this clear let me run this by you. The deal is you will pick up the car dissasemble what your returning to me and bring it back to me ? And I should add if its just a door you are after I am sure I have one for you . You dont have to go through all that for just a door. Im assuming you want more from the car than the door though.
You can give me a ring on monday to discuss it. My # at work is 631-467-0684. 9am-6pm Kurt Wiliams

If you decide to cut it up, I'd be interested in the rear bumper guards.

I would still be interested in any re-useable body seals including the targa bar seal.

Kurt, I'd like to touch base soon in regards to just picking up a drivers door from you. My first impulse was to take the whole car, after a few days of thought, I realistically just dont have the time.
Can you PM me a price for a good drivers door shell that would fit my '74? Thanks. -John

Kurt, in one of the pics it looks like the rubber seal that fits under the rear PORSCHE reflector is still there. If it is, I would really like to buy it from you.
thanks,

Kurt, thanks for replying about the rubber seal.
Yes, it is unique to the 1974 cars since it is a separate piece from the rubber seals under each tail light. In 1975, the rubber seal under the tail lights and under the reflector became one piece. Also, the cutouts on the part of the seal that is behind the reflector are slightly smaller on the 1974 seal than they are on the subsequent years (I have pics of this if you are curious). I should could use it if you would be willing to sell it. It is probably glued to the rear panel and should come off easily. Thanks
