Question Why is it so difficult to find a clean Large-intake-CIS?

I get offered junk, incomplete, neglected systems or BS.
Is there someone with a complete CIS, ot at least an airbox with FD, that can be trusted to run?
The last system offered sounded good but the seller couldn't get his act together; endless E-mails and promises leading nowhere.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?postid=2574893#post2574893

There must be someone out there with a clean system who wants to sell without BS.

i have a 3.3 cis turbo system ported to 43mm, euro fuel injectors, and fuel distributor, and 43mm powerhaus billet injector blocks, plus andial fuel enrichment, complete off of a running engine 1000. the fuel enrichment can be sold sparately, and cost 0ver 500. this system did not use an airbox, as it was a race engine. i do have the twin inlet snorkel fitting for the top of the air metering valve. two flex hoses ran to two large k&n cone filters to get the air required. This may be able to be adapted to your engine. It includes everything.

Thanks

Rod

I will be building a turbo motor out of my 78 Euro SC motor very soon. I have just completely rebuilt the whole injection less than a year ago. When I pull my system I will drop you a line. I will also have a perfect set of brand new 95mm Euro 9.8:1 Mahle P's &C's for sale at that time, they have less than 5k miles on them.

An 80-83 Euro System will have the larger intake runners, but the U.S. variety of the same year range does not. All 78-79 SCs had the larger ports and runners.

I Did the easy thing I called Otto in California. He overnighted me
a used box , which was better than the other 2 I got before.

Otto's Venice - dont have the number handy but he's easy to find.

Large intake cis available from us for $750 from a 1979 911SC. it has been sitting for approx 2 -3 years so will need a solvent cleaning of the injectors (which i will include) and passing enough thru the rest once you get it on the car. It was removed to install carburetion, cams, pistons when the motor had been rebuilt

Is there an easy resource to look up intake runner size on 911/930's? I'm curious about my 78 Euro 930.

TRE Cup: Thanks, but I prefer a CIS from a running engine because the FD tends to gum up from sitting on a shelve.

Pat: If the O.D. of your runners is 47.5 mm, you have the larger intakes.

930Jim: Will do.

any type of fuel system should be completely blown out of fuel before it is stored. that includes caurburetors and fuel injection.

My CIS is off the motor now, but I have no idea how much I would need for it and I really should get the my EFI up and running properly before I have nothing to fall back on. I should have this available in two to three weeks.
