Very Nice ATE "Cookie Cutters" 15-inch

Checking interest - just bought a set of Gottis for my 911 SC. These ATE "Cookie Cutters" were on the car when I bought it. They are pretty nice - someone took the time to professionally paint them with nice shiny black enamel. They look pretty good.

I'll sell them for $200.00. I will arrange shipping to anywhere.

PM or email if interested.

Thanks!

Off the car

Got the wheels off and stacked up in back of my Jeep (can't see out the rearview mirror). I need to remove the rubber and I'll get them off.

Best regards,
JB-911Blast

Looks as if John B. was on the board yesterday. Hopefully he will make good on this transaction.

Charles, you have been very patient in waiting for these wheels or refund. Most would have gone thru the roof long ago.

Red face Who is Dan Byers?

How do you get off judging a transaction you know no details about?

I have been a member here for longer than the both of you.

I explained the situation in posts on other threads. I have a buyer that changes the shipping rules, posts in the open Forum (on multiple threads) and refuses to use PM's.

But out.

The wheels are in my garage and still in the way.

Insisting (after I took the wheels to UPS) that I leave and drive to different cities to pick up special sized boxes, then weigh them is ridiculous. I am not in a big California city - I am in nowhere Louisiana right now.

You are probably the type of poster that likes to brag that he "picked up his new 911" for only $5,000, then rag on others who like to do any modifications from stock on their own car.

John,
I don't and your absolutely correct that my response was uncalled for and totally inappropriate. If I have caused you undue stress please accept my humble apologies.
Here are some things I would like to point out and I hope that just because I am new around here and you have been here much longer then I that you can still perhaps see how these would be helpful for idiots like me.

"I explained the situation in posts on other threads."
Responses to this thread that are actually on other threads are not linked and impossible for a potential buyer to follow. Maybe by responding to this thread with problems related to this transaction would help those who don't read every single thread posted on this forum to know what is happening with this deal.

"refuses to use PM's."
Seems like the buyer contacted you via your requested avenue of pm OR email. When he asked how things were coming 3 weeks after he said he would take them you responded to the thread with an update. Then a full month later (7-25) he again asked what was up with the wheels and leaves his phone # for all to see and for you to call. No response from you. First of August he asks for you to ship the wheels or send a refund and with out flaming or being abusive. No response from you.

His response today again shows that he has been patient (via this thread) and again has asked for a refund. No response from you the seller yet again. Seems there was plenty of opportunity for you to call the buyer, use email or this thread to communicate to him. Seems as if the seller, you, has had ample time to refund the money to the buyer and move on to some one easier to deal with and by doing so not "look" like a seller that is not holding up his part of the transaction. I am probably way off base here but the buyer would have not kept asking about the status of this deal had the seller communicated to the buyer that his demands concerning shipping and packaging were more then the seller was able or willing to do and send his money back and move on.

Now since I responded to the initial offering of the wheels with intent to buy them I am interested in this out come. Seems as if the deal has not gone as all had intended and the buyer that had already sent you money, is asking for it to be resolved and giving the seller, you, options to do so, with out flaming or bad mouthing the seller (on this thread). I frequently purchase items off the For Sale Section and like to use the search function to get information on prices for items that I might want to buy, how the seller and buyer complete the transaction and if all went good for both parties. Some transactions don't work out for several reasons but usually do to poor communication between the people involved. Some times some one gets the raw end of a deal and the community as a whole benefits when those individuals, whether seller or buyer, are brought to light.

As to your comments about me personally I see no need to respond to those as you are spot on in your assessment of who I am.

Again, sorry for ruining what was probably a great day for you.

The way I see it;

If Dan races John, John won't have to deal with going to UPS in 5 different towns just to find special boxes to ship the wheels. John could bring the wheels with to where-ever the race is to be held, deliver the wheels, (toast a marshmallow?) sing some campfire songs... and everyone can go home happy. Dan will have the wheels, John will have the money, and hopefully you'll have met somewhere close to halfway so I can watch the race. =o)

I'm fer it

+1

Are you driving down from Wyoming or can we hold a special fundraiser to buy plane tickets for you?

You gotta come to the race. I'll even give Stay Puff (It's actually Stay Puft) a little bit of a head start because he's not running wet Nitrous.

I drive a stock 914, so we better start that fundraiser. One like the little kids do, when they sell chocolate.

hmmm... smores....

Oh, my appologies. I forgot to add that to the equation, but figured it would be a given if Dan ended up with the wheels (and possibly an upturn of events and takes a trophy because John accidently hit the nitrous going into a corner...) and John ends up with the money... Dan goes home with the wheels, and Charles gets his refund; that way EVERYONE can go home happy, and we are a peaceful group of Porsche owners once again. =o)
