Question Anyone else having Problems with pjv911 ?

I bought a set of reconditioned rods and new OME rod bolts from Kurt in Feb off Fleabay. They were finally sent after 4 weeks and I recieved them last week. The OEM New rod bolts were not in the parcel and I have been trying to get in contact with Kurt and no answers to email. Anyone else delt with him or can get in contact with him ??? I know he sells a lot here from time to time.

Thanks

I got a set of heads from him in that same set of auctions, received them quickly. He tends to sell a lot of stuff at once and then get swamped with other stuff so anything that falls between ends up slow. However I have had a number of dealings with him and he has always come thru.

He was swamped by his latest massive "for sale" post. I paid for a transmission he later decided he could not vouch for and he quickly refunded my money. Never any question and always a pleasure to talk with. I wouldn't be concerned.

I purchased a 2.0E longblock from Kurt and all went great! He palletized it, strapped it and got it to me in excellent shape. I wouldn't worry a bit about buying from him.

pjv911 no worries

He is just working hard at his day job. Do not worry; be patient. He is a stand up guy.

How long do I have to be patient - its starting to push 4 months now. I feel I am getting the run around.

First he could not find them and said they had been sent to the wrong person.

Then he was going to puchase from PP,

then he asked for me to get a price from local suppliers to save on international shipping. The rod bolts are way more expensive here than at PP.

Next he had found a set of bolts but no nuts and I would have to purchase the nuts local, then just disappered. I have sent emails but no reply.

I work long hours myself and am getting pisd that I have to spend so much time chasing about a $100 + worth of parts that I have paid for and should have been sent moths ago. I just want the new OME rod bolts and nuts so I can continue on my rebuild, is that so hard to ask !

I know Kurt.

He is a stand up guy.

I've been to his shop, it's a marvel he finds anything there. He literally has trailers of stuff.

Makes Byron look like an amateur.

But it does seem like a long time to wait.

You may be frustrated but you will not get ripped off.

Kurt will make good.

Kurt is a very very very good guy, but working insane hours in the pool business these days. I won a new pressure plate months ago in his last big eBay auction months ago. I guess it turned out to be a 912 unit (never shipped) and I'm now (patiently) waiting for resolution.

Waiting sucks, but Kurt is a good guy.

Waiting four months in just plain wrong, and without explanation isn't representative of a very, very good guy. I don't care how long the work hours are. If you put something up for sale, deliver. If you can't bring a deal to fruition, don't advertise, period

I have got sick of waiting and I have given up on getting the rod bolts. I want to move on with my rebuild, so I have just asked him to get me a credit at PP for the value of the rod bolts he can keep the extra $20 it would have cost in postage !

I think I might be dreaming to think this is an easy resolution, as this stand up guy won't even answer email.

Madpcar, I agree with you 100%.

What is SHOCKING is the number of people who continue to go on and on about what a good guy he is and how busy he is at his pool business. Who cares how busy his pool business is! Maybe if his business is so busy he needs to stay away from selling parts. And was his pool business that busy in February?? Give me a break. This constant defending of his poor behavior in this deal is ridiculous. Then when you have some poor guy who gets screwed, nobody wants to hear it and they all berate him for even suggesting he might be getting the screw.
Don't misunderstand me, I'm sure he is a good guy, I don't know him. But saying he must be busy with his pool business so he can't ship the guy a set of rod bolts?? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. If all you guys are so friendly with him, why doesn't one of you give him a call to say, "Hey! What's going on with you? Just send the guy his rod bolts!" I know that's what I'd do if somebody I was friendly with was BSing in this manner.

I'll file this along with the rest of the bandwagon behavior I see on this board. If one of the "key players" decides to vilify somebody, the rest of the gang jumps on and dogpiles him. On the other hand, as in this case, if the person in question has a regular band of jock-riders and ass-kissers around him, they all leap to his defense without considering the situation. Why is there so much ass kissing on this board? I'll tell you why. So many people in the community have to put people on the top, or at the bottom, with no room in between. If you're at the top, you can make a killing selling ChapStick to your followers. If you're at the bottom, the same gang will hang you.

I'm just thankful I've never been at either end of those unfortunate extremes.
