AC vent needed and info. on removing vent

I'm in need of (1) properly working AC vent as shown below. The middle vent is missing the horizontal bar that controls the vertical vanes

And,,, how do you remove the vent for replacement?

I believe there are hex head screws on the top of the vents, which means you have to lower the vent assembly
