WTB: 17" Track wheels for 79SC
I'm looking for a set of 17" wheels for my track car - '79 SC. They don't have to be pretty, but do have to be safe for the track and straight.
Currently on there are RUF classics 17x8 and 17x9s; would prefer wheels which replace these without drastic changes. My understanding is "Cup" factory wheels like 965, 993, 996, Boxster, 993TT, 996TT are not going to fit. Thanks in advance

Preping for the 2009 season already?
Are you selling th RUF Classics? BTY - I'm meant to e-mail you about the hood. I've got a carbon fiber one coming so I'm gonna have to back out. Sorry. |

You are correct that the 964/993 cup wheels will not fit. Wrong offset. The only way to get the cup look is with a set of Mille Miglia wheels (or one of the other replicas though many are of questionable strength.) I've got a set of MM Cup1's which are:
17x7.5 et23 front 17x9.0 et15 rear Fit well, but are pretty heavy. Use them as my backup set for the track.
