BMW 2003 325i

Anyone know about these? One for $5400 with 54,000 miles. Looks in nice shape. Thanks.

That is an exceptional price, something like $5k under book. Was it on Craigslist? If so, it is probably a scam.

I have a 2003 330CI. My car caused lots of trouble, transmission problem at 40k, oil leak at 60k (true), front wheel bushings failed (60k), power window regulators failed, radiator hoses are leaking now (65k). Service is very expensive, paid $200 for a new battery. I had extended warranty so didn't pay for most of the stuff. Dealer said it was common for the engine leak oil at 60k due to a pump connection (don't ask don't know the details). Dealer asked $600+ for putting new front bushings so you can imagine how much will it cost to do something major. The one you found is at 54k so you might have problems coming soon if you buy it. Online reviews are pretty good for 3 series so it might be just my driving habits or my car was a lemon.

Test drove a 325 before buying mine, the engine is not so great. It is good for comfortable transportation and the interior material quality is excellent. My opinion is get it checked before you buy it so you don't end up spending lots of money for repairs soon.

Hope it helps,
Cem

The price is ok, I have a friend looking for a 325i, they are cheap. 3-series BMW doesn't come with much, everything is optional so their value vary a lot. Economy is bad, lots of cars are for sale around their trade in value. I was debating to buy a 2006 Boxster S or not, its KBB retail value was $36k and was listed for $26k at the BMW dealer, that gives you an idea how bad things are.
