VDO Xtream Tach fits 911 tach location
Had this in my 72 911, the diameter is a few mm less than stock opening, but you can either mount it from behind or put some tape around it and it will fit. Has a few scratches on bezel

picked up the same tach info at the dash as the stock unit, so I would have to say yes
