For Sale: 2.4 1972 911S Mahle Pistons (and Cylinders)

I have a set of Mahle 2.4 liter 911S pistons (and aluminum cylinders) to sell. There are no broken fins on the cylinders, but some cylinders do have some corrosion inside from sitting for a long time. These came out of my engine. My car was in a mechanic's lien situation for nearly 20 years after the 911T's engine had been rebuilt in the late 1980s to 2.4 911S spec and SSIs. The previous owner did not have the money to pay for the work and the car languished until I found it. The idiot mechanic removed the intake at a certain point and I guess some moisture inevitably got in. The pistons were unaffected, being forged aluminum. I consider this mainly to be the sale of the 911S pistons, although the cylinders are the right ones and I believe could be resurfaced by a machine shop.

These hard-to-find pistons are in nice condition, as can be seen in the pictures. These are perfect for upgrading your 2.4 911T or 911E to S-spec. Beside the higher compression, the deep valve pockets allow you to use a hotter cams without clearance issues. I would like $400 for these, plus shipping.
