1970 911 LS1 Project Possible Part Out
I'd be interesting in parting this car out if I knew I had a buyer for the rolling chassis. If someone is interested in the 1970 roller, I will begin parting out everything else.
To start, the car is a 1970 911 with a 964 body kit installed. It's not a prime example of a 1970 911 as far as originality, which is why it was chosen as a host for this project. All that's needed is engine mounting brackets, which are available for about $325 dollars. Work done to date: Front end modified to support and house a radiator. Radiator installed. Fans Installed. Dual 12" Fuel pump/returnless ls1 fuel filter. Fuel line run to rear of car. Coolant lines run to rear of car Coilover suspension installed in rear. Removed torsion bar setup. Battery relocated to smugglers box Parts included: ( I will forget a few..) Meziere electric water pump setup, AN fittings, Block adapters, etc. 2001 LS1 from a Camaro SS with Corvette Z06 yellow springs. Incl TB, MAF, IAC, etc. Brand new Harmonic Balancer. 1978 4 Speed 930 Trans with complete clutch set (needs TOB/Ring Gear) Shorty Headers Stock 915 and 930 axles. A hybrid axle needs to be built, with 930 inners and 915 outers) Standalone LS1 wire harness (only needs +12, Switched, and ground. Engine was converted to front sump from the GTO so it will allow for full oil pressure under hard acceleration, rather than braking. This also includes the flywheel adapter kit from Kennedy Engineering in Palmdale. Kit includes everything required to bolt the transaxle to the LS1. Correct brand new starter also included. There are parts I can't think of at this time, but I will take a full inventory in a few hours and update this. Here is a link to my build so the car/progress can be seen. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/512535-project-ls1-another-one.html And here's a link to some pictures of the car itself when I bought it. Car And here's it now, as well as pictures of some of the parts. Parts When the project is done it will need paint/front fenders. There was some bad bondo work on the front fenders that has started to split and crack. They can probably be reshaped and painted. The rest of the paint was not a superb job by any means. I haven't listed prices yet, but I'd take 10k for the lot of it, and I will divide it up if there is significant interest in the larger pieces (chassis, 930 trans, etc). PM me for more information! -Matt |
