WTB: Left & Right Side Front Vent "tinted" Window Glass

I'm looking for both left and right side front vent window glass that its tinted.
1968 to '70 or '71 I believe.

I could order the right side glass though it's $300. - The left side seems to be unavailable.

Does anyone have a one or both or know where they could be sourced?

if you need side windows too i have those: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/661044-factory-tinted-side-window-glass.html

if you just need the vents, you may need to call easy or parts heven.

the other option is to find someone parting out a car.

now.. only swb and targas had vent windows that opened. is that what you want?

or do you want the vent windows on 69-later coupes that were perma-shut?

I have left side fixed, if that's what you need.

I have a NOS fixed also still in its wrapping. Can't remember which side though. If you are looking for fixed, let me know and I'll check.

It's the flip vent window glass I'm looking for. Best would be from a '68.
I'm switching from fixed to flip open.
Driver's side tinted.

Hoffman912 - I'm familiar with PartsHeaven and have put in a request to them, but who are "easy"?

EASY = European Auto Salvage Yard -> SF Bay Area Porsche New & Used Parts || EASY - European Auto Salvage Yard

If you're doing the fixed to operable vent windows conversion, I hope you're taking lots of pics to show us all your process as we want to see it, too...

but coupe or targa? the targa ones are slightly square at the top where all the coupe ones were curved on top. what is the etched id or dot sig on the one you have? if you just need glass, i could maybe find one that's rusty, or if a coupe, the glass is easy to have trimmed. cheers, geoff free bump once again

Thank you Canada Kev. I'll give them a try.

Automobile Associates is replacing the current '73 window frames with those of a '68 which have the vent windows. Should be a perfect fit. Just need the driver's side glass as it's currently unavailable. Apparently most break-ins are from the river's side.

they pretty much just interchange it's just like replacing a window. unbolt the allens in the front top of the door and the bottom angle bracket and other allens holding the frame. you need to take the angle off completely to pull the window frame up. once the frames out the window can come out if you slide it off the track. i think pelican has a how 2 on the tech. it's really pretty simple. takes about an hour a side to change to opening vents. g
