1974-1980 Porsche factory sport seats by Recaro

Pelicans, up for sale is a very solid set of sport seats that are period correct for 911 cars from 1974-1980. I am the second owner of the seats. The seats are believed to have been delivered in a 1979 930.

They are black leather except the rear panels which are vinyl. The leather is very soft and supple everywhere except the forward section of the passenger seat bottom which is very lightly cracked in a few spots. You can barely see the cracking and it's not discernible unless you look closely. There is light wear on the bottom and seat back side bolster on the driver side seat. I have tried to show this wear in the pictures.

Mechanically the seats work as they should with one exception. The drivers seat recliner does appear to have a broken cable. This is noticeable when you tilt the seat back forward to access the back seat. The recliner works but levers forward unevenly. I believe this could be easily fixed but have no idea what the cost of the repair might be. It was not problematic enough for me to warrant a fix.

Since being in my possession the seats have had entirely new webbing applied to the underside of the seats as the original webbing was tired and frayed. I invested $200 in the webbing and installation which was done by Franzetti Brothers interiors in Marin, CA. The photos show the new webbing.

I am selling the seats as I have found a set of seats that period correct for the 1984 MY car these had been in. I am asking $2000 for the set not including shipping which I will expect the buyer to pay.
