Suggest you all avoid any dealings with TODD C at Helion. He has a few of us over a barrel on the CF Short Hoods and is pretty non-responsive to our cries for him to make us whole. BUYER BEWARE.

UPDATE - Todd and I have reached an arrangement on my order - he seems to be trying to do the right thing.

I do have a set of his Targa Body Braces that I purchased from him last year, hoping they would fit my chopped top 911 Cabriolet (they do not). If anyone wants a set ping me on the forum - I'll let them go for $200 plus shipping.

Glad it’s working out for you ! Todd has done s lot for the P-csr community and it would be a shame to loose him. Life is hell for a small business in this day and age.

"Todd has done s lot for the P-csr community and it would be a shame to loose him. Life is hell for a small business in this day and age." <--- If you say so.

I agree that being under-capitalized is a hard way to do business, this is a good lesson for all of us. Taking in 'new money' in order to buy equipment and material to fulfill existing orders always bites you in the ass down the road. I suspect that is what has gone on with Todd. If you want a real litany of tears have a read thru the CT Short Hood discussion....Todd may have his heart in the right place and has done some good innovation, but it is probably best he is not running his own business any longer. He still owes me money. I'll report back when it is all cleared up.....

OK, it seems to me that a Targa Brace is a necessary thing and, as I am working on a Targa currently, I am curious as to another source of braces. Can anyone help or know of a source.

These look interesting! Do you have any data you can share regarding it's increase in rigidity, handling, stiffness, etc? Is this a known modification for targas and this is your version?

Thanks! Might snag one for my 81 SC

I have a set of these installed on my targa, along with a strut tower brace. Driving my car vs my dad's stock SC targa back to back, you can tell the difference. It's noticeable on rough pavement, RR tracks, etc.

The person who sold these didn't manufacture them - he subbed out all the work. He also took a bunch money for parts that he did not deliver, so I wouldn't look to PM the OP looking for a set.

@shoooo32 any chance you'd be willing to help me out and take a few pictures with a tape measure for reference? Going to try and make a few. Seems pretty straightforward but a couple measurements would help cut back some trial and error.

Car is in storage at the moment. Just measure the distance between the seat belt bolts and work backwards. You shouldn't have much trouble.

More so the angles of the attachment plates is what I was referring to. Pipe length will be easy but all good. Will be a fun project
