Vintage Porsche 911 targa Ski Rack
Available for sale is one rare and original chrome roof/ski rack for a Porsche 911/912 targa. I don't know the year of production, but my guess is sometime before 1973. The condition is very good with little or no blemishes. It appears that a strap is necessary to actually attach skis to this rack, but I do not have this part available. $350

It mounts on the targa bar with two bolts on each side, and on the top of rain rail on the windshield frame, bump.

leather straps
I have a set of the leather straps that are used on these racks if the buyer wants them, good condition, buckles are not rusty. $125 shipped.

straps
posting pictures of my straps for those interested. the buckles are very nice, the leather needs to be oiled for sure. good enough for display but i wouldn't trust them to hold skis on the freeway. I have all 8 of the straps. if I can find them I will include some of the white plastic pads that the skis sit on. not promising them I should have some of them too. plus if someone is interested in everything I have the bar that mounts to the Targa bar as you can see in two of the photos. $200 for the straps and the bar. chrome is very nice on the bar. sorry the pictures aren't so good, i was in a hurry. the two straps by themselves gives you the best idea of their shape.
