Cleaning lobster claw rims

Looking for some advice. After cleaning my rims with barrel brush and giving them a good detailing, if I drive the car afterwards it throws rust all over the barrel, and looks like hell. Is the only option letting the car sit in the sun for a couple hours and drying out? I know it sounds like a dumb question, so go easy on me. Thanks

Wrong forum but I will offer advice....

By "rust" do you mean brake dust or actually rusty water droplets from the rotors?

If water, I would suggest you use an air dryer to get the water that hides in the wheel/tire crevices when drying the rest of the car off. I use my leaf blower and then go over the wheels with a towel. I use this method on all of my vehicles and have great results. I use the blower on the entire car to get water from the nooks and crannies.

Thanks for the leaf blower advice. I'll give that a try. I'm still a fairly new poster, what would be the correct forum?

This is the for sale forum. For specific questions, try the 996-997 forum for the water cooled 911s. Seeing as how you have Lobster Claw wheels one could believe that you DON'T have an air-cooled car.

It's no problem as most of us here are glad to help a new guy. Welcome to Pelican!!
