Don,

What parts do you need?

If you are looking to complete the set of stuff for a 1976 some suggestions:

* You should track down a vinyl blue box air compressor...that is what was being fitted to RoW cars in 1976 (not the white plastic Weber air compressor).

* 1976 color charts (1976 Standard Color Chart, Publication #1080.14...or...1976 Special Color Chart, Publication #1081.14)

* 1976 Priesliste...there are TWO versions depending when your car was produced: 1976 Priesliste Modelle 1976 (1st German Pricelist), Publication #1086.II ...or... 1976 Priesliste Modelle 1976 (2nd German Price List), Publication #1091.II

* 1976/77 911/Carrera 3.0/Turbo Technical Specifications Book (1st Edition, October 1977), Publication #4224.20 2,5 M X/77. This is the English version...there is a German version if you prefer.

* 1976 Porsche 911 Carrera/Turbo Accessories Brochure, Publication #1087.14 (German/English/French/Italian)

* 1976 Porsche 911/Carrera/Turbo Sales Brochure (German), Publication #1083.10

* 1976 Full Line Color Brochure, Publication #1123.10 (German)

* A correct 1976 date coded Porsche Service Dealer Directory, Publication #4101.00

* 1976 Porsche factory calendar

Hope that helps in your quest!

This seller has a number of items on eBay for ok prices...if you are patient you can find things cheaper, but often they are available for more than what this seller is asking:

1976 porsche from wt-911 | eBay

Best of luck.

1976 RoW Liteature

Wow,
Thanks Ryan. Great hunting list.

I have the compressor. Need everything else. At least I know what I'm missing now!

Don,

Good luck. Cool 911...the RoW models during the mid-1970s were really good cars since they didn't have the thermal reactors and other smog equipment here in the US (which is what caused all the engine problems). Do you have any photos of yours? I'd love to see the interior, carpets, etc. since the RoW cars are usually a bit different than US.

If you discover any other period German literature for the 1976 that I don't have listed above please let me know.

Ryan

I forgot to mention the difference between the two price lists:

1st 1976 German Price List -- Orange cover, effective September 1, 1975 (top left of front page specifies “gültig ab 1.9.1975”).

2nd 1976 German Price List -- Reddish orange cover, effective February 4th, 1976 (top left of front page specifies “gültig ab 4.2.1976”).

Hey Ryan,
This is the only interior pic I have. The car currently has RS style door panels. I'm going back to the regular style with the door pulls and pockets.

I'll take a few more If you would like. The car is Radio and AC delete. Non sunroof.

1976 911 RoW

Ryan,
The car was originally a light yellow, or so I'm told. The current color is Continental Orange (107) and is a correct color for 1976. It was a bare tub restoration and repaint.

The car was brought into the US, through Vancouver BC (I have import documents) by a second owner US Army Doc (from Ellensburg) who used this car as his one time exemption. Luckily, they didn't make him change anything. The original owner was a Dentist from Bremerhaven.

I think it's been in Washington State it's entire time in the US, alternating between the East and West side of the state. I have only had it a few months.

If you are ever over this way, look me up. I usually can be found at Dry Fly Distilling, a company I helped found in 2007.

Thanks again for the awesome target list on literature. I'm already pursuing some pieces.

Any other sources of cool RoW mid year stuff? Seems like not many of them made it over this way.

Continental Orange is a great period color. Looks very nice, particularly with the chrome trim. Some relevant RoW information for 1976 can be found at http://carreramfi.com/. For instance check out the Links section where there are links to PDF versions of the brochures, color charts, service manuals, etc. even a 1976 German price list for your car.

Next time I'm in Spokane I'll give you a ping...we usually travel over once or twice a year as my wife has lots of family in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene.

Don, nice car and really like the orange on a 911. I took my 356 to the Festival of Speed at the Orlando Ritz-Carlton yesterday and won an award Best in Class, vintage Porsche. I was suppose to take the Turbo but was unable to get it ready in time (oil issue). BTW, it was a 911 event and my 356 was the only one there. There was a beautiful orange 72 911 that a Friend of mine brought, a beautiful car. Dennis Gage was there filming “My Classic Car" so there should be some footage on Speed Channel soon. The Festival of Speed gets quite a bit of coverage on the Internet, take a look. Larry
