If the wheels were paid by paypal, claim with them and get your money back. Good luck ruf dub!

Unfortunately time expired on the limits to claim on paypal because I trusted what the seller was telling me. Stupid mistake on my part. I got the feeling he was just stringing me along to let the time expire so I couldn't claim with paypal.

The downside of paypal is that they'll give you only 45 days to claim. I would try pursuing your credit card company and be persistent. I wish you the best ruf dub

Thanks for helpful words. Just putting it out there so no one else gets scammed. I'm new to the scene and bought a few things from this site with no issues.

Good luck. Its too bad some people would resort to scamming..
I'm just glad it hasn't happen to me but if I lost enough money,
I would actually knock on his front door..but that's me

I've heard of cases where PayPal will refund beyond 45 days under circumstances like this. It wouldn't hurt to ask them (assuming you have written evidence, of course).

If you used a credit card to make payment via Paypal you should have two months to dispute thru your credit card company.

He seems to be in Delaware, lots of activity over the past several years from what I can see. Amazes me that someone would ruin their reputation and potentially getting banned from the site by not making good on their promises. Maybe this post will make him think twice about screwing people and getting banned. Steve

I offered him a full refund in the very beginning and he refused. I told him to order the rim halves that we damaged and to put a claim in with ups. I then told him I am willing to send him 600 dollars for the bent wheel halves he wanted the money sent in a manner I was not familiar with. My offer of mailing him a check for 600 dollars stands. I think this is very fair.

I ve known Scott for 20+ yrs and I dont think hes out to skunk anyone. He is a buyer and seller and runs a small shop, Porsche only.
I see there is a response from him above me, seems a reasonable solution to me.

Thats the problem with these "call out" threads; you usually dont get both sides of the story.

I did decline the full refund only because the hassle of shipping them back plus losing $600 in duty fees. I gave you the estimate for the wheel lips which you I never heard back from you in almost a months time. You offered $600 and stated it would be within the week which came and went several weeks, with no clear direction of how the funds would get to me. I have nothing to hide and I have all the im's and dates to prove it.

200% agree with Flat6pac! Scott is and has always been a stand up guy. Claims can take a long time both with UPS and Paypal. A previous claim with UPS took 8 weeks to settle and even after that I was out of pocket for a couple hundred dollars.

There are several questions everyone should ask themselves...was insurance paid for? Did the buyer purchase insurance and if so for how much? Its like plane tickets....$14 to insure. Is it your fault or the plane companies fault if you buy a ticket, decline insurance, and then a month later decide you cant make the trip...Just to blame the plane company or seller is just wrong. Or to demand a full refund and also be able to keep the ticket.

Its in really bad taste and a noticeable problem on the internet that you can post threads like this and people start using words like scam, scammer etc...If anyone should be removed from this site it should be the people who post threads like this and the people who pass judgement on others. Dont believe everything you read and dont participate in potentially ruining someones reputation when you have no idea of what has actually occured.

I have known Scott for a little over a year, and have done a fair amount of business w him. I believe he is a man of his word. This is a small community, I am sure he will make this right or refund your money.
