FS / FT 1970 2.2S running engine
Just bought a 914-6 conversion with a 630xxxx engine installed. No MFI.
Was told it is an original S engine, and visual inspection confirms red shroud, big intake ports, and blocked off MFI ports on heads, but other than that dont know exactly what's inside the case. I dont need an S engine, and don't really want one either. Would be willing to swap for something else in running condition + cash. No 2.2T engine! Prefer 2.2E, 2.4E, updated 2.7, 3.0 or 3.2. Or sell outright for $1M / OBO ![]() $15k / obo

Sold pending payment, but just in case:
Couple of crappy pics. Sorry, not a lot of room in a 914 to take good pics of a -6. Also have a couple of crappy cell phone videos of engine running. ![]()

Dude was supposed to pick up today but is not returning messages or phone calls, so this engine is still for sale.
Removed from a well running car. Pulled off all the 914-6 conversion pieces I need to keep, plus the carbs. Here is what is left: ![]() ![]() Overall looks pretty dry except a leak at the top near the engine tstat, or maybe breather cover. Engine #6301140 Type 911/02 Dizzy 007 Cams have MFI pulley mounting stub Heads have MFI injector ports plugged Big port heads Biral cylinders I have not had the engine apart, but to me, it looks like a 70S engine by all the clues. Nothing has made me think it is anything other than a genuine S engine. Have videos of it running that I could email to interested folks.

Engine oil cooler is also removed. It is customized to fit in a 914 not a 911.
Oil line has also been removed. Other than those 2 items, engine is sold as pictured.

Cold leakdown is 2 - 3% across all 6 cylinders
Engine ran well with good oil pressure and temperature,, it looks pretty clean, has excellent leakdown, so I am guessing recent rebuild. $15k / OBO

Dont really expect $15k; offers are welcome. Well running, good temps, good oil pressure and excellent leakdown. Ready to be put back in a car. Vroom vroom!!

Sorry guys, had to edit the auction to allow for international bidders. Since eBay makes this as difficult as possible, I ended up having to cancel bids and relist the item.

Only hit $8300 on eBay. Couldn't let it go for that, so still available.
Adjusted valves and cam timing. Looking inside the engine, it has definitely had some work done at some point. Cams lobes look nice and shiny with no signs of wear. Brown chain guide. Did I mention <3% leakdown?? $12,500 strapped to a pallet. Can build box at your expense. Can drop off at shipper for gas money and a 12 pack. ![]() ![]()

Your ebay auction was no reserve so you reneged on the sale. That auction was a binding contract.

Yup. So I worked out a deal with the buyer to "buy it back".
