WTB - performance 3.0 through 3.4 engine
I am presently at the stage where I am contemplating building my own engine from a 3.0 L stock 1978 engine. My goal is to end up with between 275 and 350 hp, including the possibility of going with a single turbocharger.
However, I am well aware of the slippery slope that begins when you start with a project of this nature and I'm contemplating the possibility of buying something already finished. Thus, the reason for my post. I would like to end up with something that runs on 91 octane (all we get here in Southern California)and would consider anything from Weber carbureted or mechanical or electronic fuel injection. Ideally it would be something based on a 3.0 L or 3.2 L engine. If anyone has a fully completed engine with documentation or, alternately, the majority of the parts required to put one together I would be interested in speaking to you about purchasing it and/or completing it. I'm not looking for anything particularly rare (e.g. early 930 or RSR motor) and simply looking for a good dependable performance engine that will keep me entertained. Prefer So. Cal. for inspection and delivery purposes. Willing to pay fair value for the right engine. Thank you. |

I've got your motor and am local (San Diego). Hot 3.4 with a serious mod list. 300wheel horsepower. Only catch is its on race gas. I imagine you could dial it back though...10 hours on build. Pm sent with my phone number
