Here’s something you don’t see everyday: a kit to convert your 915 transmission to a dog ring style racing gearbox with straight cut gears. Race style dog rings shift faster for reduced lap times and there are no synchros to wear out and make heat.
Included are 9 gearsets, mainshaft, sliders, shift forks & rails and all the special bearings, bushings, spacers, etc. The original Instruction Manual/Parts List also included. All parts in good, raceable condition. Use your current case, diff, pinion shaft, reverse gears, shaft bearings, etc.
Ratios included:
First: 2.786
Second: 1.824, 1.667
Third: 1.381, 1.286
Fourth: 1.160, 1.041
Fifth: 1.042, 0.846
Other ratios as well as new sliders are available.
Factory parts shown in pics are not included.

No special case of gate shift components needed so no they are not included

There are some special interlock parts in the case, necessary for this kit to perform as originally supplied, The 915 GateShift kit is also essential.

Does this improve strength of the trans? I'm using a 3.3 turbo and a 915 trans with a few upgrades but i know its days are numbered. Does the Dog ring kit make the 915 able to handle higher HP loads?

Sorry for the misinformation on the interlock modification guys. I didn't see anything different in the case when I disassembled it. Thanks Hayden for the info. I'm sure Hayden would be able to make this mod for your case and supply the GateShift.

Puddy: I don't have a lot of knowledge about this set up. In talking to a few people and my own observation I believe this set up to be stronger than stock because of more robust gears and the lack of the stock dog rings. Remember too that one of the biggest problems with the 915 is the small amount of material between the shaft bearings in the cases. Also the weak side cover. WEVO and others have remedies for these problems.
