Popout window frame- where can I get anodizing done?
I am probably in the wrong forum. But I will ask anyway.
Can anyone help me with a good shop to re Anododize my recently stripped and polished aluminum pop out window frames of my early 911? Looking for a shop near Los Angeles. Thanks ! Doug |

King of Trim in CA.
Google them. I have had them do several Full car trim sets. They don't come cheap... |

Shaun @ Tru6 (that's his Pelican ID) does anodizing, and I believe may also restore 911 quarter windows.

Thank you Gentlemen, I appreciate it.
Some finished pieces. Outside pics are better representation than under fluorescent lights. Finishing up a set for an authentic 73 RS rallye car today. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thank you Phil!
I'm just as slow Kelly. A set of frames typically takes 40 hours from start to finish and I'll redo any pieces that I don't think are 100%. Just got the RS quarter windows back. I estimated and billed 20 but have 30 hours into them, they were extremely pitted but the owner wanted originality and excellent results. Bad quick pic before shipping them off.

Those are anodized? They look polished. I thought anodizing has a slightly dull appearance? Can you do black anodizing?

I've talked to Shaun and he does do black. I plan on sending all my black anodizing to him when I'm ready

To maintain the polished look, a bright dip process is typical - this may be the type of treatment presented in the posted pictures.

Thank you Gentlemen for the kind words, I appreciate it. I love what I do and hope it shows.
As noted, yes I can do black, working on the decklid grille next for the RS noted. Door handles were originally done in black zinc chromate (pic below) but the process to do cast pot metal has long since been abandoned, pH has to be perfect to avoid rainbow effect. For door handles I use Cerakote, same product I use on fans and housings. All frames above are anodized using a special process I have over 500 hours into developing, so they will look like that for years to come, just wipe down with Invisible Glass and a soft absorbent towel after washing your car.
