NOS Talbot Berlin Rectangle Mirrors

Hello Pelicans,

These are NOS Talbot Green Dot Berlin mirrors (rectangle mirror).

Both mirrors are in perfect shape - no scratches, glass is perfect, and they include the mounting gaskets.

I imported these from Germany.

I am looking for USD875.00 for the pair - significantly less than I paid for them.

Can you elaborate on this? Granted they aren't the mirrors that were stock on 911s, but I remember in the '70s Talbot and Raydyot mirrors being used as aftermarket modifications by those of us less concerned with concours prep.

The aftermarket Talbot Berlin with rectangle mirrors were never mounted on 911s
Always these with round mirrors.

They look real to me Talbot Berlin 333 Racing head mirrors. Two stamps is correct for this model.

Maybe you're correct about the two stamps, but they aren't correct for 911s.

Thanks.

I actually purchased these mirrors from the same Ebay site listed.

I was in Germany for business and brought them back with me.

And, I definitely paid more than I am asking for these now.

I will try listing on the Early Registry site - thank you for that recommendation.

Appreciate the help.

I am perplexed by the "absoluteness" of your statement. Never???

Weekend bump for a cool set of Talbots.

While they might not be stock, they do look cool - check out the Longhood photo above.

Open to offers.

I have a little experience with Talbot mirrors ( as over the last 20 years I've owned over 60 pairs ) and these are definitely not reproductions , to my knowledge the last time Porsche offered to Talbot mirrors as an option was 1968 although Porsche being Porsche would accommodate anybody if you were willing to pay an upcharge for whatever option you wanted installed on the cars , of course if you picked up your car at Zuffenhausen you had a much larger range of options then if you ordered your car from a dealer in the US , since the Talbot mirrors were popular many people ordered them as options even into the 70s although this style of Talbot mirror as far as I know was never offered as an option for a Porsche 911
