They look like they were refinished by child slaves in East Timor, excellent workmanship but I doubt they invoiced him in anything you or I could understand. GLWS

Done locally by child slaves. Not from Timor though. Let me know if you're interested or just a tire kicker or in this case wheel kicker.

Not a tire kicker, if these were done by Al or Harvey I may be interested.

I see. What makes those guys so special? What do they do that no one else can seem to do? Educate me? I'm not being a ass, I just want to be educated. It's wheel refinishing not rocket science.

Harvey anodizes the wheels after they've been blasted. As well, the rim lips are polished before the anodizing to give them a brighter finish. I think Al just blasts them and doesn't anodize, but I'm not sure.

In my experience (I have a set of RSR finish wheels done by Weidman) the anodizing makes them rather easy to keep clean - brake dust washes off easily - and protects them from further oxidation.

dg567, its not easy as you say...anodizing is an art?
Painting newer wheels and clear coating them is NOT Anodizing.

Research and you will only find 2 highly recommended Anodizing guys.

I'll pass, sounds like they weren't done by Al or Harvey. Harvey does the best work IMHO. He's done more than four sets of Fuchs for me, well worth the wait and the hassle.

Are the Lindsey’s for sale? If yes I’m interested.

While the rim lips do have a brighter finish then the rest of the anodized portion of the wheel, the reason Harvey polishes them is because that's what the factory did back in the day. The reason the factory did that is that the smoother polished rim lip wouldn't get marked up when mounting tires.
