Motor and Trans wanted

Looking for motor preferably a 3.6 and a trans for either my 1970 or 1983 911. Unfortunately I only have one power plant set up to share between the two cars which is a 3.0 with Webber's.

I'm in Orange County will consider a 3.2 or 3.6 perfer running stock or modded motor not worried about smog check. As for the trans any good deal 9014 or 5 speed 915 4 5-speed or of course at 930 4 speed.

Also looking for some parts for my 915 such as a lightened flywheel and an LSD. For my 3.0 I would like a set of cams since I switched from CIS to Webber's

The only reasonable transmission will be a 901 and surely will not work for a 3.2 or 3.6. What would you consider reasonable price for a good 915 or 930? 915 is at least $2,500 up to $5,000 or higher for a good 930 4 speed. I have a 930 in the process of rebuilding and still in disassembly stage where I can take photos to show condition of shaft and gears....but won’t be reasonable.

Easy to modify a '70 chassis for a 915. You are correct though, a 901 won't hold up to a 3.6.

I have a modded 3.6 and an 86 LSD 915 that I just removed from a 73 chassis yesterday. Brand new everything!

Not cheap but it's a bolt in high performance and robust option.
