Hey ! it's been a (very long) while
But yep, that's what happened. Cut, and a steel strip welded to get them wider. (you can see this very well on the interior of my rim - the exterior was TIG welded and finished on a Lathe, so nothing visible, no filler required, a perfect and low cost job : 60$/rim, the guy also needed to reshape the embossed area where the valve goes) Mine have been fitted with their tires, I'm happy to say that despite the Quote:
The car is still ripped apart at the moment, but it's getting a deeper makeover than expected (well, rather, deeper than hoped, but hey it's a 60s 901 body, so what was I thinking ? ), but it's getting there ![]() should be on the road early next year/for the spring... can't wait ! I run 15x6 aftermarket rims I found years ago, don't remember the offset. Tires are 205/60-15's all around. I did need to roll the lip on the center of the front fenders to avoid the occasional rub.

6,5s fit on the back of mine
Tires are 165, they're just stretched enough, the outer edge of the rim itself is just under flush with the fender edge
