Today was a good day ! (pretty much)

After just over 2 years at the bodyshop, I had the pleasure of driving my 912 home today !

It's not exactly finished interior panels, carpets, etc still need fitting, and there are some mechanical bits and bobs that need to be done (speedo cable, rubber boots, ride height etc)

BUT IT'S HOME !!!

Quite pleased to say the least with the outcome. There was more work needed than what we figured out at first (as always) and the guy worked on it when there was a spare moment in the shop, hence the wait and also, the reduced final bill, but it was worth it.

Well pleased about the floating grille effect indeed. Really works on a light coloured car. But i should have done a light coloured rim (the steelies i had widened 6,5 and 7) I think now.

Like I said, it was pretty much a good day.

I found the charging light constantly on while driving the car home.

When I delivered the car to the body shop 2 years ago the charging system was ok (fitted a new regulator not long before).

So I'm thinking maybe they didn't wire it back properly.

However, in order to be perfectly methodical, I'd like to check the whole system.

How do I check the generator is OK on these ?

I'm thinking of fitting an alternator kit sooner or later, any advice on that ? I guess it could improve headlamp performance a bit, maybe ? ( I also have a plan to fit a decent stereo, but no worries, i have a plan to make it almost period looking)
